About Me

My name is Carlos, and I’m an Art Director and General Artist in the video

game industry.

​

I started my career in 2004, creating illustrations for children’s books, 2D

animations, web graphics, TV commercials, and trailers.

In 2011, driven by my passion for video games, I moved to Italy to focus on

the gaming industry. Since then, I’ve worked on projects for Mobile, Web, VR,

and Console, covering Character Design, Environments, 2D Animation, UI/UX, and Art Direction.

Curiosity has always been my greatest strength. I study and play video

games all the time and I’m always enthusiast to face new challenges...

Midnite, 2022 - Present, Italy​

I’m the Art Director at Midnite, a studio focused on mobile game development.

I oversee all visual aspects, ensuring everything aligns with our creative vision.

 

Since joining Midnite, I’ve contributed to several mobile games, from hypercasual to casual games, working with the team from start to finish.

 

Along with leading art direction, I created UI elements, UX,  Concept Art,

2D Animations, Character Designs and Backgrounds.

As a General Artist, I created and managed digital envivronments, designed

characters, developed concepts aligned with the project’s style, and worked

on UI/UX design. I also animated characters, UI elements, and visual effects.

In addition to defining the Artistic Direction of Bookbound Brigade, I

created all the environments, from concept art to implementation in

Unity, as well as the logo, user interface, and videos, including intros,

endings, and trailers. This was a huge challenge, which I successfully

completed in 10 months of work.
